Tommy and Elisabeth were two rough customers
who found the grace of God. Tommy, a runaway
and dropout at sixteen, drug addict and pusher,
never did go back home but traveled to Africa
on a"spiritual odyssey".
Elisabeth, a 'roll her own cigarettes',
Amsterdam, spit in your eye, 'tough chick';
had no time for that God stuff! Close
friends, Mark Butler and Rick
Froind were in the front seat driving
whileTommy began convulsing. A terrible overdose drove
them to panic. Afraid of
being stuck with a corpse, they pushed
Tommy out and sped away, never
expecting to see him alive
again. Without looking back they left
him to die on a back street of Tulsa. The
story should have ended there. But
it didn't. As Tommy's spirit
slipped, he knew he was dying and that
there was no hope
without a miracle. He called out the name
of Jesus. The whole prayer was simply; "JESUS! O.K". Instantly his spirit returned and a
fire coursed through his drug raddled
brain, penetrating through his body and the deepest part of his being. Healing, liberating, cleansing currents
of fire restored ravaged brain cells, smashed the chains of
addiction and resurrected a dead soul.
In Holland, near the same time, Elisabeth
was kneeling and weeping, humbled by the awesome presence of God. She
had found Jesus in an outreach meeting in Amsterdam and knew
that she had been forgiven and washed in the Blood of the Lamb. When Tommy
came to Holland to preach, coming from
a triumphant visit in Africa, he was
consumed with the love and power of a living Savior
and Healer instead of drugs and bondage.
There he met Elisabeth. They fell insanely in love, helplessly,
hopelessly and crazy in love. Although
they were only 18, they got married. They bore the
fire of their love for Jesus, for each other
and for those still captive to the world. Eighteen years
later, in 50 nations, ministering to millions
face to face, their love has not faded
but has only gotten more intense. And
as love would have it, they began to multiply...

Dr. Tommy O'Dell, grandson
of Evangelist T.L. Osborn, began preaching worldwide at the age
of 16. This is even more remarkable than it sounds. On May 8,
1981, after a prolonged drug binge and overdose, panicked friends
pushed his body out of a car and drove off, knowing they would
never see him alive again. While his spirit slipped from his body,
O'Dell shouted the name of Jesus. The power of God swept through
him like a healing fire.Instantly his spirit reentered his body.
Weeping uncontrollably, with brain cells restored, he received
a miracle encounter with the living God! "I'm free, I'm
free, I'm free! satan, I'll never be your slave again!
"By the age of 19, O'Dell was conducting
mass crusade/concerts in Africa and South America, combining
contemporary music with the supernatural Gospel.
Now, after 18 years of ever-increasing anointing, he has literally
preached and sung to millions in 50 nations, targeting the most
unreached, of the 10/40 window.Wherever Dr. O'Dell ministers,
at home or overseas, he demonstrates the life changing miracle-life
of Jesus and teaches that God wants every believer anointed with
the Holy Spirit and ready for action. In every service, God confirms
the gift of the evangelist with real miracles, healing
the suffering and unchaining those bound by Satan. |
